What Is Strategic Integration?

Aligning strategies in the each of areas of Passion, Strategy, Collaboration and Process is required to achieve Strategic Integration. 

Alignment of purpose and strategies in these four essential areas must align across and down the organization so that innovation and execution in these rapidly changing and uncertain times can be understood and actionable throughout the organization.  

  • Strategic focus is a choice.  Most organizations do not have clear strategies that are understood throughout the organization. 
  • Strategy requires a vision supported with specific and immediate next steps that will generate a momentum toward a desired outcome. Otherwise people are confused and a reactive and chaotic culture forms.
  • Strategic growth does not require a long-term strategic plan. Rather it requires short-term, flexible and incremental focus with a clear vision and mission in mind. Departmental focus needs to be on a specific direction(s) and immediate actions required for growth.  This keeps strategic alignment more realistic. 
  • Having flexible strategies allows the natural emergence of solutions that are needed today to achieve a clear vision and direction for the future.  Change is certain.
